Under general supervision, performs general maintenance duties or minor technical tasks required to maintain structures, equipment and grounds common to contract facility site and structure.
Assists in performing routine repair of structures, which may include plumbing, wall repairs, door repair, carpet installation, sanding walls in preparation for painting, painting, etc.
Assists in monitoring performance and operation of heating, cooling and other equipment.
Must comply with work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested and completing work orders per instruction.
Performs a variety of cleaning tasks including but not limited to: dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, trash collection and removal, restroom and commons area cleaning.
May perform the replacement of minor electrical devices.
May operate and maintain equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Moves furniture and equipment as assigned.
Ensures all light fixtures are operational, changes light bulbs as necessary.
May assist in layout, construction and repair of a variety of office structures such as walls, partitions, doors and ceiling tiles. Assists in the layout for equipment installation.
Assists with securing assigned area(s). May perform routine security tours and safety checks of building and grounds, examining doors, windows and gates, to ensure they are properly secured.
Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Performs any other miscellaneous duties as requested.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills.
Availability for some nights, weekends and holidays.
Must possess a valid driver's license
Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
Ability to work second or third shift, holidays, and weekends as required.
Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 35 lbs., etc.
Characteristics Desired:
Experience in managing vendors and business partner relationships.
Mechanical and building maintenance experience.
