POSITION
Summary:
Serves as emerging expert to review and assemble completed field investigations for compliance with national standards and customer requirements. Ensures the timely review and preparation of reports of investigation for submission to Case Manager for final review. Reviews completed work for quality assurance purposes. Provides direction, guidance, and problem resolution to Field Investigators. Reviews Field Investigator reports to ensure they are reasonable and accurate. Provides mentoring and training to investigators and support personnel as required. Provides guidance/leadership to less experience case reviewers. Must have an in-depth understanding of the essential functions of a background investigator to include an in-depth knowledge of the requirements to satisfy investigative case acceptance. Requires knowledge of investigative requirements for the performance and adjudication of PSI. Requires knowledge of applicable Executive Orders, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and other issuances associated with PSI and the BCBP.

Responsibilities:
Provides guidance to review staff regarding interpration of the OPM handbook, OPM guidelines, and prior field experiences.
May sign timecards, prepares performance reviews, handles discipline problems, and has input to hiring and firing.
Presents updates to superiors regarding revenue made, cases completed, and cases worked.
Tracks priority cases and cases coming close to their due dates.
Keeps weekly and monthly statistics for each member of review.
Assigns cases amongst the review staff.
Performs essential high priority service to our customer on special cases and projects as assigned.
Releases the product directly to the client and disputes work deficiencies directly with the client.
Understands the essential functions of a background investigator to include the requirements to satisfy investigative case acceptance.
Understands investigative requirements for the performance and adjudication of PSI applicable Executive Orders, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and other issuances associated with PSI and the BCBP.
Control, conduct, pre-review, review, evaluate and close reports of investigations.
Provides guidance to CACI field staff regarding concerns, policy and procedures, and issues raised during the conduct of an investigation.
Gives quality feedback to investigators and investigators in training.
Provides guidance to investigators on the responsibilities to the investigation.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
Typically requires a bachelors degree or equivalent work-related and/or military experience and seven to nine years of investigator experience. Requires successful completion of a CACI approved reviewer/closer training course.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
