Ground System Engineer

KBR has an opportunity for a Ground System Engineer to support MOD/OE based out of Chantilly, VA or Aurora, CO.
This position provides subject matter expertise to customers in ground system design, architecture development, cloud application development, and system testing.
This position will provide analytic insight to system design and performance issues and recommend mitigation approaches, to include hardware solutions, software solutions, and modification of operating procedures.
The successful applicant will work to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex and technically challenging work.
Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide technical insight across the system, including aspects of mission planning, command and control, and data processingReview evolving system architectures, analyze requirements flow down, propose verification methodologies, and help refine CONOPSEvaluate proposed system changes, especially those that happen late in the development cycle, and make recommendations on path forwardReview development contractor's documents and procedures, requirements flow down,verification methodologies, calibration plans, Concept of Operations (CONOPS),Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and test plans to ensure program successRefine and develop measures of effectiveness, improvements to system environments and creation of new procedures to support all facets of testing and operationsParticipate as a reviewer in working groups, engineering review boards, design reviews, test readiness reviews, operational readiness reviews, etc.
Review program for high risk areas and recommend mitigation approachesCollaborate with SETA team members, development contractors, and customer forumsEffectively communicate and interface with engineers from various contractors and government organizations; prepare and present briefings to customer on technical topics when requestedConduct user outreach and research new system operation techniques to solve hard problemsRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)9 years technical experienceExperience in satellite operational readiness, rehearsals, and system testingProgram lifecycle experience from concept development and design to deployment and operational maintenanceExperience across multiple engineering disciplines to include:
systems engineering, software development, and integration and testExperience with requirements development, interface control documentation, technical specification review, architecture and CONOPS developmentExperience in mission operations environment - ops tempo, performance characterization, utility analysis, system calibrationsAbility to identify system impacts and pitfalls associated with operational systems to include:
mission planning and scheduling systems, command, control and communications systems, and data processing systemsDesired QualificationsExperience with agile development methodologies, Model Based Systems EngineeringExperience in operational environmentsFamiliarity with AWS or C2S DevOpsIndustry certifications (eg PMP, CSEP, AWS, etc.
)Clearance Requirement:
Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
