Radio Frequency (RF) Systems Engineer

KBR is hiring a RF Systems Engineer in Reston, VA.
The RF Systems Engineer is responsible for one or more aspects of the design, planning, coordination, development, testing, integration, and/or deployment of highly sensitive communications systems, services, and / or technical support.
KBR requires an engineer with expertise in Department of Defense (DoD) space-based and ground systems.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise enabling clandestine technology at the device and transport layers.
Conduct assessments based on a variety of user inputs to include, but not limited to, modulation techniques, antennae characteristics, software defined radio methodology, digital signal processing, GNU standards, and others.
Conduct test design; anomaly resolution; system deployment and sustainment support.
Provide technical expertise to integrate user equipment with a variety of short and long-range terrestrial, maritime, and Space based radio frequency networks.
Perform or assist in design, development, installation and testing of operational equipment CONUS and OCONUS as required.
Customize Special Communications compatible field sets, legacy field devices and emerging transceiver technologies using RF.
Conduct system anomaly trouble shooting and interface with vendors and mission partners to ensure systems will meet the end goals of stakeholders.
Provide technical expertise for Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and planning.
Develop and implement solutions solving radio frequency threats and vulnerabilities based on knowledge of devices and/or architectures supporting a user's CONOPs.
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Masters of Science Degree preferred.

years' experience working in RF communications development industryDemonstrated experience in radio frequency communicationsExperience with Digital Signal Processors and the application to perform traditional and non-traditional functionsExperience with Position Navigation Timing, RF interception, and geo location techniquesFamiliarity with foundational concepts of cognitive radios and technology leveraging for a range of purposesExperience with waveforms, waveform design, and characteristics reducing probability of detection/interceptionPreferred
Qualifications:
10 years experience supporting research and development efforts within the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community.
Experience with RF communications systems engineering and/or integration - highly desiredExperience with RF antenna design, analog and digital signal conversion, and Satellite Communications - highly desiredExperience with waveforms, waveform design, and characteristics reducing probability of detection/interception/exploitationExperience with user equipment (to include mobile devices), data transport and processing across local wide area and global networks for information transfer - highly desiredProficiency in using MATLAB, Simulink and/or other modeling, simulating, or analyzing tools - highly desiredExperience with radio frequency theoryExperience with Digital Signal Processors - highly desiredExperience with Position Navigation Timing, radio frequency interception, and geo-location techniquesExperience with user equipment (to include mobile devices), data transport and processing across local wide area and global networks for information transferKnowledge of and/or proficiency using MATLAB, Simulink and/or other modeling, simulating, and analyzing toolsTravel:
OCONUS travel may be required.
Security Requirements:
Must have an active TS-SCI/w CI Poly security clearance.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
