Space RF Systems Engineer - TS/SCI

KBR is searching for a Senior Space RF System Engineer (RFSE) professional in Chantilly to support transition and fielding of first-of-kind space vehicles and missions.
In this position, you will provide System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) in the SIGINT discipline.
This NRO program office ensures successful development and delivery of a highly classified space portfolio for the Intelligence Community.
This candidate must possess technical expertise and experience with developing, designing, building, and integrating space hardware and software.
A successful candidate should have SIGINT experience and be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a high-profile, fast-paced environment.
You will work in a small, highly empowered team where every team member is directly responsible for the success of the program.
Engineering responsibilities span technology domains including space rated hardware, software, sensors, and processors in an extremely fast-paced, responsive development environment.
This SETA candidate will provide in-depth electromagnetic spectrum background on satellite vehicle bus and/or RF subsystems to support an emerging program.
Responsibilities:
Performs technical analysis of RF systems solutions, limitations, and capabilitiesAdvises government program management on technical design and production trade spaceInterfaces with prime and subcontractor vendors as well as other external stakeholders, to include government units, to validate system design, manufacture, test, performance, and delivery requirementsProvides experience working with space systems of associated satellite technology as well as wide variety of RF systems or family-of-systemsWork on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independentlyTranslate complex ideas and data into simple, actionable recommendations or easily differentiated courses of actionCommunicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracyA cents EUR oral and writtenServe as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the area of advanced mission electronics, payload development, analysis and modeling of radar systems.
Provide technical analysis in the field of advanced radar technologies and/or enhances performance for GEOINT systemsProvide technical analysis in the field of digital system engineering concepts for GEOINT systemsBenchmark evaluations of special algorithms and capabilitiesProvide quantitative analysis that demonstrates value of implementing enhanced algorithms to provide new capabilities using machine learning technologiesCreate and deliver simulation software code in support of above as directed by the GovernmentRequired qualifications:
Minimum 9 years of relevant ICExperience in spacecraft, and RF SATCOM payloadsExperience with space system research, development, modeling and simulationKnowledge of mission payload engineering, development, and manufacturingUnderstanding of SIGINT operational environment and corresponding SIGINT mission user needsExperience in NRO program management including program development and transitionExperience with general systems engineering principals to include Integrated Master Schedules and risk managementExperience with Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS)Satellite development experience with low or high earth systemsDomain expertise in space systems and major space system performanceFamiliarity with the system design trade process, assessment of system design options, analysis of mission requirements, monitoring of development and test activities, development of CONOPs, and tracking of system performanceDemonstrated experience in interacting with development contractors, actively participating in design reviews, evaluating technical proposals, documents and designs, reviewing and/or developing test plans and procedures, and writing correspondence or white papers

Active TOP SECRET clearance with sensitive compartmentalized information (SCI)Candidate must maintain a TS/SCI clearance as a condition of employmentLocation/Travel Requirements:
May require travel up to 25% of time within the continental United StatesSDL2017.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
