Job Description:
Vice President Cloud Transformation and Cyber SecurityPOSITION Overview:
The Parsons Connected Communities (CC) Business Unit is continuing its evolution into a technology-enabled solutions provider.
As part of this effort, Parsons is establishing a Technology, Products and Solutions Center (TPSC).
This one-stop-shop for clients and Parsons Program Managers will be formed to support the CC Sectors (Aviation, Rail, Transit, Smart Mobility and Smart Vehicle, Tolling and Intelligent Transpiration Systems (ITS)) with their solution development of new and emerging offerings as well as leading the software development and back-office support offerings to ensure that a common process is used across sectors.
In this role you will communicate with employees, stakeholders, clients, and customers to ensure our company's digital assets are used appropriately.
Cross Team collaboration with Business Development, Product and Innovation, and IT Services is key for success.
Strategic thinking and sound business acumen are essential in this role.
We expect you to be well-versed in current emerging business models and technology trends.
The VP Cloud Transformation and Cyber Security will own the digital blueprint for the Parsons X.
The successful candidate will plan, direct, and control all product-based cloud services for the Critical Infrastructure work at Parsons.
The VP Cloud Transformation and Cyber Security will envision and implement the future state of this business line, with the aim of increasing margins, capabilities, and value to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Develop and drive the organization's cloud digital transformation strategy to achieve business objectives and stay competitive in the digital landscape.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the alignment of digital initiatives with the organization's overall technology architecture and security standards.
Ex.
Commercial Cloud Landing Zone.
Expand Cyber Security capabilities across market sectors.
Lead and manage digital initiatives, ensuring their successful implementation and integration into various business functions.
Lead initiatives related to digital innovation and digital strategy execution and own the Commercial Cloud Strategy and Implementation for Parsons across all business units.
Coordinate with Business Development Team and client-facing Operations Team to meet with members of the CC client community to understand requirements, facilitate discussions, and help shape solutions to meet their requirements.
Drive customer-centric digital experiences, leveraging data analytics and user insights to improve customer engagement and satisfaction.
Leverage digital technologies to enhance business processes, improve customer experiences, and drive revenue growth.
Identify and evaluate emerging digital technologies and trends to determine their potential impact on the organization's digital strategy.
Coordinate with Product and Innovation to align the product portfolio offerings, roadmap, and technology-enabled solutions- including R&D efforts- with the Digital Transformation strategy.
Establish and monitor key digital performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of digital initiatives and track the organization's digital transformation progress.
Identify and develop strategic partnerships with external vendors, and technology providers to enhance the organization's digital capabilities.
Participate in the development of business aspects of CC's strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals, and to develop the digital blueprint of the future (3 to 5 years out).
In line with corporate business objectives, establishes short and long-term operating and financial objectives for this functional area.
Build quality assurance and data protection processes.
Apply stakeholders' feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to the Digital company blueprint.
Work with Stakeholders to make sure they understand the Blueprint and the vision.
Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and digital trends, providing thought leadership and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
EDUCATION/
Experience:
4-year degree in engineering or related technical field and an advanced degree in business, engineering, or related field.
25
years of broad and diversified experience.
10 years of demonstrated experience in successfully developing and delivering digital solutions in the transportation and or municipal markets.
Large scale organizational transformation and change management within public and private sector organizations.
Experienced in management of ecosystem partners.
Knowledge of technological trends to develop/build strategy Understanding of budgets and business-planning Ability to conduct technological analyses and research Excellent communication skills Leadership and organizational abilities Strategic thinking Problem-solving aptitude Experience developing technical solutions for sectors where CC is focused:
Smart City, Aviation, Rail, Transit, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and Vehicle Related Solutions Strong understanding of technology offerings and technical personnel across Parsons and ability to tailor existing Parsons's solutions to CC market requirements SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Proven ability for working with a large and diverse group of personnel within field of expertise and providing direction for resolving complex work assignments.
Also requires experienced knowledge of standard practices within field of expertise, as well as applicable codes and regulations.
Must be knowledgeable of best practices for utilizing communication technology, automation, and various software applications in order to achieve the highest level of productivity within organizational unit.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to make effective presentations to senior management, must also be demonstrated.
Influencing and Negotiating skills are important requisites for this role.
