They will assist the Founder and Chef in the design of seasonal flavors and the development of new recipes.

The company has many private customer ice cream events, as well as festivals.
They will prepare the ice cream, coolers, dry ice and table setup for the event.
They will also attend customer events and manage the event and interact with the customer.

per week with a FT opportunity RESPONSIBILITIES Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:
? Supports Founder Chef in the daily operations of the ice cream company.
? Creates ice cream by following a set recipe.
? Inspects all frozen dessert items upon completion to ensure they have been prepared correctly, and accurately packaged.
? Ensures that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with culinary receiving policies and procedures.
? Ensures that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection.
? Assists the Founder/Chef in the weekly kitchen and event supply inventory.
? Communicates any issues, concerns, or updates to Founder/Chef ? Performs other duties associated with the position that are reasonably assigned to support the overall needs of the business.
Qualifications:
? An associate degree in baking and pastry arts and/or course certification from an accredited Culinary Institute is preferred.
? 1 to 2
years' experience in a high-volume/ice cream shop and/or fine dining/Banquet/Pastry production kitchen is desired.
? Computer experience with Excel and Microsoft software programs is preferred.
? Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively.
Bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required.
? Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume is required.
? Must be punctual, reliable, and with a positive work ethic.
? Must be organized, self-motivated, proactive, and have a strong attention to detail.
? Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service, organizational skills and time management skills are required.
? Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a deadline- driven, demanding environment.
? The ability to work without direct supervision is needed.
? Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining highest quality is required ? SERV Safe Manager Certification desired PHYSICAL DEMANDS Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools, such as knife techniques for chopping, slicing, cutting, and dicing.
Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods every day and handle extreme heat.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
