This role requires a current Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope PolygraphSummaryThe successful candidate will leverage their development skills and experience, as part of our customer's Data Layer Engineering Team, to support the successful ingestion, cleansing, transformation, loading, and display of significant amounts of data, with a particular focus on Cloud data.
Duties, Tasks & ResponsibilitiesoDesigning, implementing, and optimizing large-scale ingest systems in a Big Data Cloud environmentoOptimizing all stages of the data lifecycle, from initial planning, to ingest, through final display and beyondoDesigning and implementing data extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, and replication/distributionoDeveloping custom solutions/code to ingest and exploit new and existing data sourcesoDeveloping data profiling, deduping logic, and matching logic for analysisoOrganizing and maintaining Data Layer documentation, so others are able to understand and use itoCollaborating with teammates, other service providers, vendors, and users to develop new and more efficient methodsoEffectively articulating the risks and constraints associated with software solutions, based on environmentRequired Experience, Skills, & TechnologiesoStrong software development experience, to include significant Java development, data analysis/parsing, and SQL/database experienceoStrong experience with the full data lifecycle, from ingest through display, in a Big Data environmentoStrong experience with Java-related technologies, such as JDK, J2EE, EJB, JDBC, and/or Spring, and experience with RESTful APIsoExperience developing and performing ETL tasks in a Linux environmentDesired Experience, Skills & TechnologiesoDemonstrated experience delivering solutions using Cloud technologies, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.
oExperience with Hadoop, Hbase, MapReduceoExperience with ElasticsearchoExperience working in a mission environment and/or with many different types of data Recommended Skills Amazon Web Services Apache H Base Apache Hadoop Big Data Cloud Technologies Data Analysis Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
