Job Description:
Director of Human Resources POSITION Overview:
This Talent Director position supports our High Consequence Missions (HCM) sector within Parsons Defense & Intelligence (D&I) business unit.
This is a fast-paced sector with significant organic growth opportunities supplemented by occasional acquisitions to further build capabilities.
This position will manage a geographically dispersed Human Resources team who are responsible for leading and implementing critical HR initiatives that align with the business unit strategy to meet or exceed financial objectives through the attraction and retention of talent to include enhancing the overall employee experience.
Responsibilities:
Reports to the Defense & Intelligence VP of Human Resources, with accountability to the Senior Vice President for High Consequence Missions.
Collaborate with business leaders, assigned HR team and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver strategic human resources capabilities, execute sector strategies, and develop hiring strategies.
Develop and implement employee initiatives that focus on enhancing the employee experience to include talent development, employee engagement and diversity, equity and inclusion with an acute focus on improving overall employee attraction and retention.
Provide leadership and guidance on execution of performance management, succession planning, compensation, incentive planning, learning and development and annual strategic HR initiatives to support the sector.
Assess present and future HR needs, trends, problems, and identify opportunities and actions to support aggressive organic business growth.
Participate in and/or lead HR teams to drive improved alignment of process, systems and interdependencies to manage compliance, drive an improved employment experience and achieve business expectations.
Leverage HR data analytics to drive strategic HR decision making, assess best practices and identify areas for improvement.
Support a variety of business growth activities including new business proposals, program start-ups and integration activities for acquisitions within assigned sector.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Supervision Received - VP of Human Resources and Sector Leader Supervision Given - Talent Leaders, Managers and Supervisors Internal Contacts - Sector Leaders, all employees and managers within assigned business unit, HR Functional Leaders and employees for Compensation, Benefits, Service Center, HR Operations, Employee Experience, Talent Acquisition, HRIS and other revenue/business unit assigned Leaders and staff, functional Leaders in payroll, project controls, finance, business development, accounting and contracts.
EDUCATION/
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in related field and typically 10
years of broad and diversified experience providing human resources support Experience in federal government contracting desired but not required.
Top Secret security clearance and SPHR desired but not required SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Proven ability for managing a diverse group of human resource professionals.
Ability to provide direction and resolve complex work assignments and tasks.
Expert knowledge of Human Resource Policies, Procedures and best practices.
Knowledgeable of best practices for utilizing HRIS (Workday Preferred) and other software applications (including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel) in order to achieve the highest level of productivity and drive efficiency within the HR Organization.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to make effective presentations to senior management, must also be demonstrated.
Proven ability to work at all levels of the organization and inspire trust, confidence and consensus among diverse teams or stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for actions based on the analysis.
Ability to lead via influence and to partner effectively with functional groups and leaders across the business unit and enterprise.

Salary Range:
$121,900.
