Cyber Security Engineer - TS/SCI CI Poly with Security Clearance
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and ensure our nations network and intelligence apparatusThe Cyber Security Engineer will support our nations SIGNIT and Satellite Intelligence networks to meet the requirements of DoD and Intelligence Community operationsThis position is considered senior and the ideal candidate(s) will have a strong background with SIEM tools - Splunk, IDS/IPS, Wireshark, PowerShellFurthermore, this position requires the ideal candidate(s) to have an active TS/SCI CI Poly prior to entry on dutyClient offices located in Chantilly, VA & Aurora, CO - this position will be operated inside of a SCIF and is fully onsiteResponsibilities of the Cyber Security Engineer:
o Responsibilities will include providing insight into efficiencies that can be gained from the current workflow based on an understanding of the customers' requirements o Performs engineering support and system administration of applications and systems to include installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, and back-up/restore o Identifies potential conflicts with implementation of any cybersecurity tools within the enterprise and develops recommendations to remediate these conflicts o Provides Tier II& III maintenance/engineering support for deployed technologies while supporting Assessment and Authorization activities related to cybersecurity technologies, where applicable o Provides ideas for automating repetitive project tasks and metrics collection using scripts and assists with testing/implementation to production o Building audit SIEM tools, Splunk/ArcSight, Linux, scripting with Puppet, Chef, custom dashboards Qualifications for the Cyber Security Engineer:
o BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related technical field o 5
years of experience in cybersecurity network defense, cyber tools engineering or information assurance solutions o Experience implementing and using complicated software products that involve multiple components o Experience in deploying and/or supporting enterprise security software products such as firewalls, IPS, Anti-Virus solutions, application firewalls, high availability solutions, network management systems, virtual systems o A solid understanding of Windows and Linux systems, general operating system security practices, TCP/IP networking, and network security concepts is required o Active TS/SCI CI POLY Clearance - will be required to verify prior to submittal Desired Skills/Preferences for the Cyber Security Engineer:
o Must have or be willing to obtain IAT Level III or higher certification within 6 months of hire Compensation for the Cyber Security Engineer:
o Salary Range:
o $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience o Full
