The corporate financial analyst position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principlesor international financial reporting standardsManage financial reporting for multiple contract types to include CPAFLOE, FFPLOE and T&M multi-million dollar contracts for Government Client Provide financial analysis for PM and Task Leads to assist with subcontract management Identify and resolve contract financial issues and assist in risk mitigation Plan, track and reconcile monthly expenditures, internal controls to ensure accurate time charging and billing using Excel and PCR (Project Cost Reporting) System Provide monthly and quarterly financial deliverables, Contract Funding Status Reports (CFSRs) to government client to determine expenditure rates and provide estimate run-out dates for funding Assist in ad-hoc reporting, quarterly execution reviews and re-baselining CLINs/Contract Periods as well as Contract Close-out due to cancelling funds Provide support and contract history to new bids and re-compete proposals Monitor, approve, track subcontractor accruals, as well as reconcile invoicing and payments using Subcontractor Cost Management System (SCMS), and Pay Online (POL) to ensure proper subcontractor reporting and billing Transactionso Ensure that accounts receivableare collected promptlyo Oversee and assist with payroll processingo Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completedo Maintain the chart of accountso Maintain an orderly accounting filing systemo Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions Reportingo Issue timely and complete financial statementso Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual reporto Calculate and issue financial and operating metricso Manage the production of the annual budgetand forecastso Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to managemento Provide for a system of management cost reportso Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations Complianceo Coordinate the provision of information to external auditorsfor the annual audito Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenantso Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Qualifications:
The controller candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 10
years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporationDeltek Costpoint and Microsoft excel experience are highly preferredPreference will be given to candidates with the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designationsA clearance is desirableWorking Conditions:
Primarily in an office environment.
