Required Skills:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
o 15
years of experience in software engineering.
o Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.
o Experience with design, development, testing and operations of highly-available REST API services to support large enterprise business/mission objectives.
o Experience automating API documentation using a range of solutions for generating, visualizing and maintaining up-to-date docs as your API evolves such as Swagger.
o Swagger takes the manual work out of API documentation, with a range of solutions for generating, visualizing, and maintaining API docs.
o Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
o Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices.
o Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, TypeScript and JavaScript.
o Experience working with AWS cloud services such as S3, RDS, SNS and SQS.
o Familiarity with Jira or similar issue tracking tools.
o Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
o Familiarity with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and DynamoDB.
o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and participate in pair programming.
o Understanding of security best practices for software development.
Desired Skills:
o Experience with frontend development using frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
o Knowledge of microservices architectures and containerization.
o Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
o Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
o Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies.
o Familiarity with DevOps practices such a continuous integration and deployment.
o Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools like Git, Jenkins and Ansible.
o Familiarity with database design and SQL.
