Information Systems Security Officer
Overview:
No Limit Technology is looking to add an experienced Information Systems Security Officer to maintain security operations for various specialized applications.
This position will be onsite in Chantilly, VA.
Clearance:
An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly is required.
Candidates who do not meet these clearance requirements will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
o Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
This is achieved through passive evaluations (compliance audits) and active evaluations (vulnerability assessments).
o Develop documentation in support of Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, operating procedures, and policies.
o Operating within cleared environments performing Information Assurance activities to meet client needs and timelines.
o Performing Continuous Monitoring duties under NIST SP 800-137 (Continuous Monitoring) to include auditing for anomalous or malicious user activity.
o Establish strict program control processes to ensure the mitigation of risks and support for obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.
This includes process support, analysis support, coordination support, security certification test support, security documentation support, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections, and periodic audits.
o Periodically conducts a review of each system's audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed.
o Perform Media management activities, handle and have familiarity with controlling, labeling, virus scanning solutions-software and appropriate transfer of data (uploading/downloading) between different classification domains via manual and automated processes.
o Master's Degree and 2 years relevant information assurance or cybersecurity experience, Bachelor's Degree and 3 years relevant information assurance or cybersecurity experience, Associates Degree and 6 years relevant information assurance or cybersecurity experience, High School/GED and 8 years relevant information assurance or cybersecurity experience.
Qualifications:
o Mentor, provide guidance and instructional aid to Associate and Junior ISSOs o Familiarity with conducting research and analysis, network and information system security principles, and best practices o Knowledge of information security program management and project management principles and techniques.
o Knowledge of security violation mitigation measures and incident reporting actions.
o Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
o Knowledge of host/network access control mechanisms (e.
g.
, access control list).
o Knowledge of cybersecurity principles used to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data.
