The Accounts Payable Generalist will be responsible for the prompt and accurate processing, payment and accounting of all vendor invoices consistent with company policy and procedure; research and resolve open issues with vendors and subcontractors.
Duties can include Managing the AP Mailboxes for various entities.
Setting up new vendors and manages vendor changes.
Full cycle accounts payable using Deltek Costpoint 7.
Expense reporting using Deltek Time & Expense reports.
Preparing, entering, and reviewing vendor invoices and expense reports to ensure that they are properly coded, approved and in compliance with government and company policies.
Preparing checks, ACH's, or wires as needed.
Maintaining A/P report for accuracy.
Performing credit card administration and reconciliation.
Supporting SMS system and shareholder distributions/Board stipend payments and inquires.
Preparing and processing 1099s.
Reviewing computer reports to identify and trace sources of error; and make any necessary corrections.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Ability to access and accurately input information with little direct supervision Must have knowledge of accounting principles (i.
e.
journal entries, debits, credits, etc.
) and accounting functions Ability to work independently to accurately complete duties and projects Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines Proven ability to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow-up and follow-through.
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
