They work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately. They work with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements. Regular and ongoing communications with vendors to resolve issues and help them understand our business requirements necessitates a high-level communicator.The Logistics Site Lead role is responsible for providing end-to-end service to customers and fulfill their job duties with a 0% margin for error while overseeing day to day functions of their team (10
employees). Logistics Site Leads perform variety of day to day leadership tasks, including setting up and running weekly team syncs within the team, overseeing team metrics and deep diving with team members any concern areas, performing monthly 1:
1s with team members to discuss their day to day site functions and any blockers, supporting site functions during coverage needs, planning room builds (all Logistics owned areas - Logistics Parts room, Loading Dock, LOG room, Red Zone, BCT area) for new site builds, attending customer leadership syncs to provide support and receive feedback from customer teams, and providing consistent customer service and communication on an as-needed basis. A day in the lifeAs the Logistics Site Lead, you will lead your team to maintain successful daily operations within your cluster. You will review incoming deliveries, track weekly priorities, and ensure all SLAs are met. You will contribute to your team's development through assisting in projects, providing development feedback on a 1:
1, and drive projects and process improvements on your own. You will organize coverage needs with your cluster and assist the manager with organizing strategies to complete ongoing high-priority tasks. About the teamThe Logistics team is responsible for providing end-to-end inventory management services for server and network equipment used within the Data Center including:
receiving, RMA, media handling, parts transfers, maintaining inventory stock profiles, customer service, mitigating upstream/downstream barriers, establishing/enhancing processes, and general safety and security of the buildings and teams within. IAD is comprised of 100
Data Centers across eight clusters - Ashburn, Dulles, Herndon, Sterling, Chantilly, Stone Ridge, Manassas and
Run which are serviced by the Centralized Warehouse Operations (Reverse Logistics, Triage, Inbound, Outbound, and Transportation), Data Center Logistics (Remote Site), and Special Operations (ICQA, Project Management, and Analytics). The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
