Elevate Technology Solutions is currently accepting applications for a Help Desk Specialist, to support our operations in Chantilly, VA.

The Help Desk Specialist will be responsible for the following:
Performs or guides customers through the installation of hardware/software and networking components on their personal computer to meet computer needs.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with individual or multiple computer systems in order to maintain proper functioning; resolves issues of complexity including contacting and assisting vendors.
Performs computer studies and projects relative to area of assignment; implements change in policies and/or procedures as approved.
Provides expertise to various parties vendors, customers, etc. regarding personal computers in area of assignment; supports personal computer changes and problem resolutions.

The Help Desk Specialist must have the following skills:
Direct experience with Enterprise Ticket Management Systems (HP Service Manager 7.X and 9.X preferred)
Basic understanding of IT Service Management processes (especially Incident, Problem, Service Level, Service Catalogue)
Technical skills needed to provide adequate Tier 1 assistance; such as password reset, software installation and remote desktop support.

The Help Desk Specialist must meet the following qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of Help Desk Experience or a High School Diploma and 4 years of Help Desk Experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
