Data Modeler
General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) has an immediate opening for a Data Modeler to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDAIS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to design, develop and manage a variety of equipment and systems solutions for GDAIS and its clients. Key Responsibilities
Extract data from existing databases and merge with new additional data
Assist in the design and implementation of data and analysis studies to guide metrics development
Assist in the application of Statistical and Computational Techniques to identify and analyze patterns in data
Advise data managers on best ways to ingest and integrate data into existing data store
Assist in the identification of data quality issues
Assist in the design, development, testing, and validation of statistical, mathematical, and simulation models
Assist in the design, development, and testing of new visualizations to support end-user decisions
Apply agile software development methodologies such as Scrum in the performance of tasks
Additional Responsibilities
Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance.
Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers' changing business needs.
Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the GDAIS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures.
Follow industry trends and pursue technology innovation to ensure GDAIS's services are cost competitive and superior to industry best practices.
Job Requirements
Typically requires bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or the equivalent, and 0 to 2 years of related experience.
Department of Defense security clearance is . Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
