Jacobs Technology is seeking an Information Systems Security Specialist Lead for the Columbia MD Office.
Responsibilities:
Position Responsibilities
Providing IA engineering support for DISA IA group in the areas:
Lab and system pilot testing.
SAFENET Engineering Support
HAIPE Engineering Support.
Developing SAFENET and HAIPE encryptor products Test Plans and Test Reports.
Conducting network security process reviews for IP and related protocols to include IP encryptors and their management systems.
Validating network infrastructure encryption security (DNS, management systems, etc.).
Ethernet products and network services to include Ethernet encryptors, devices and their management systems.
Developing implementation guidance for operational groups
Developing and documenting system requirements and specifications.
Supporting implementation and lifecycle engineering.
Qualifications:
Education and
Experience:
AS degree from an accredited school in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline and seven (7) years of related experience.
Desired Skills &
Experience:
CISSP
Cryptographic technology, algorithms, and secure protocols
Type 1 inline network encryptors
HAIPE Interoperability Specifications
Vulnerability scanning products
SONET/SDH and Carrier Ethernet protocols
Transport and IP technologies and has experience with Sycamore SN9000, SN16000, CoreStream, Cisco MSPP, Datacryptor SONET/SDH, Ericsson ATM switches; and Cisco, Juniper, Riverstone and Lucent routers
TCP/IP, MPLS, VPNs
Preferred experience in a DISA lab environment; operational knowledge of DISN
Strong verbal and writing skills
Be able to demonstrate working independently and with a team.
Additional Requirements:
This position requires a US government SECRET security clearance. Individuals possessing dual citizenship
(i.e., citizen of the United States and another county) are required to relinquish citizenship in the foreign country in order to obtain a security clearance. Security +

Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
Work Environment:
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Equipment and Machines:
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance:
Attendance is critical at all times. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
