What you will be doing! The Principal Engineer/Scientist will be leading a team of Cyber Security specialists in advanced research and development. The Engineer will be working closely with the government customer and other teams to develop novel approaches in hardware, RF, and software security. The Engineer will be required to understand a wide variety of advanced concepts and must be able to work with industry and academic leaders.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Independently compile data to address the most complex intelligence issues or problems for senior internal/external customers
With minimal supervision, provide accurate, timely, complex and sophisticated data analysis in support of key Agency, US national security, and foreign policy objectives and to shape Intelligence Community (IC) analysis priorities.
Conceive, prepare, and communicate a wide range of strategic, highly presentations, or written/oral assessments to internal and external customers (e.g., policymakers, IC components)
Depending on assignment, manage projects and associated resources.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Working knowledge appropriate cyber security and methodological tools in one or more of the following areas:
Computer Engineering / Computer Science (e.g. programming languages, operating system security models, computer system architecture)
Electrical Engineering (e.g. RF communication systems, hardware security and error correction paradigms)
Cyber Security (e.g. ethical hacking, reverse engineering)
Working knowledge of research designs
Intellectual curiosity; creativity and innovation to go beyond current state of the art.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to develop comprehensive reliable solutions from probabilistic building blocks
Ability to translate complex, technical findings into an easily understood narrative
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment

10-20 years of experience
Master's degree in technical field of study (e.g., Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science).
