IAI is seeking a Software Engineer to work on a multi-discipline team that supports various government customers in the Washington Metropolitan Area in the areas of Modeling and Simulation and Statistical analysis.

Responsibilities/Job Function:

  • Works with a team of systems engineers, and software developers to implement mathematical models of Modeling and Simulation systems.
  • Assists in development of software tools to validate sensor models and data collection systems.
  • Designs, implements, and integrates software applications into working prototypes or deliverable applications.
  • Utilizes software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the development, integration, and production environment
  • Ensures efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes
  • Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results


  • Mandatory Security Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI
  • A BachelorÔ s Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position (e.g. computer science, math, or engineering)
  • Background in C/C++, Java , and Javascript
  • Strong background in linear algebra
  • Minimum of three years of work experience on similar tasks

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree in related discipline (e.g. computer science, math, or engineering)
  • Previous experience in Modeling and Simulation.
  • Five years of work experience on similar tasks

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
